About me

I currently work full time as a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant, with previous experience in Gastroenterology and Acute Care Internal Medicine. I started using Young Living Essential Oils about two years ago when I was struggling with insomnia and fatigue. My first job after graduating from PA school required that I work day shift, night shift, and I was constantly flipping back and forth. I was exhausted all the time and I had a lot of stress from work that I would bring home. I was using benadryl, melatonin, and claritin to help me sleep, but it was giving me a medication hangover in the morning. The mornings came so fast and it was hard to get out of bed.  I was miserable.

I was desperate to feel better, and with hesitation I began to dabble a bit in essential oils. I didn’t tell anybody that I was using essential oils for quite a long time because I was worried about what people would think of me.  In my work place, certainly my co workers would think I was strange, so I kept quite for a long time. The oils started working for me. I began to feel rested and overall I felt so much better off those meds that had been making me drowsy. With the help of some essential oils (Peace and Calming, Cedarwood and Lavender) I’m off all my meds and wake up without the medication hangover.

At this point, I had a HUGE success with the oils. I was no longer embarrassed to share them with others. In fact, I wanted to tell everyone about how much they had helped me. I wanted my co workers, family and friends to experience the same success I had. I wanted them to feel as good as I did. So here I am, a believer in essential oils and a representative for Young Living.

I now use Young Living for my skin care, epsom salt baths, muscles tension/trigger points, headaches and I clean my house with them. I truly believe you don’t have to be a hippie to utilize essential oils. There’s something for everybody! My can’t-live-without oil is: Deep Relief!

Learn to walk the road alone. Eventually, you will reach the place you are meant to go.
